The benefits of bladeless LASIK With Ziemer Crystalline LDV:
The surgeon numbs the eye, creates a corneal flap that is lifted back, applies the laser treatment to the inner layers of the cornea, and then replaces the flap, which heals naturally. An excimer laser helps create the flap precisely, safely and quickly so the surgeon spends less time in the eye which makes the procedure more comfortable, and visual recovery is faster.
What to expect from LASIK?
A consultation will generally determine if you are a good candidate for a successful LASIK procedure. On the day of surgery your eyes will be numbed before the procedure is done on an outpatient basis. The entire LASIK procedure takes approximately 10 minutes per each eye from start to finish. On average, there are three follow-up visits during the first three months after your procedure and then normal annual eye exams thereafter.
